With the 2024 off-season in full swing, Chris is dialing up both his diet and training intensity. He’s teamed up with the renowned Coach Hany Rambod, and together they hit the gym with infectious energy. Alongside them, Hadi Choopan, gearing up for the 2024 Arnold Classic, joined in on the action. Under Coach Rambod’s expert guidance, affectionately known as ‘CBum,’ Hadi powered through an electrifying back workout. 

Here’s a sneak peek into their dynamic routine:

  • Lat Pulldown – 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps
  • Seated Rows – 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps
  • T-Bar Rows – 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps
  • Chest-Supported T-Bar Rows – 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps
  • Straight Arm Cable Pulldowns – 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps
  • Cable Face Pulls – 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps
  • Machine Rear Delt Raises – 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps 
  • Dumbbell Rear Delt Raises on Spider Bench – 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps

Lat Pulldown

Our journey kicked off with the classic lat pulldown, guided by the masterful instructions of Coach Rambod. Bumstead and Choopan seamlessly maneuvered through sets on the plate-loaded Panatta Super Lat Pulldown Circular Machine, targeting those coveted latissimus dorsi muscles. Coach Rambod emphasized the importance of utilizing various grips—overhand, underhand, and neutral—to ensure comprehensive muscle development.

Seated Rows 

Moving on to seated rows, essential for building that back thickness, our determined duo attacked the plate-loaded Panatta rowing machine with gusto. This exercise targeted not only the mid-back but also the latissimus dorsi, laying the foundation for a well-rounded physique.

T-Bar Rows 

CBum and Choopan upped the ante with T-bar rows, exploring both machine and chest-supported variations. With each rep, they honed in on stimulating those back muscles to their fullest potential, under the watchful eye of Coach Rambod.

Cable Straight Arm Pulldowns 

Switching gears to isolate the back, our champions indulged in cable straight-arm pulldowns. This underrated movement offered a refreshing break from heavy compounds while effectively targeting those hard-to-reach areas. Coach Rambod’s wisdom echoed through the gym as he emphasized the importance of controlling the eccentric phase for optimal results.

Cable Face Pulls 

Transitioning seamlessly, Bumstead and Choopan shifted their focus to the upper back with cable face pulls, priming their posterior deltoids for action. With each rep, they added another layer of definition and strength to their physique, inching closer to perfection.

Rear Delt Raises
